How Checker pricing works for teams
Most apps charge every person on your team the full licence fee. Checker doesn’t. You pay for one main account, then bolt on cheaper logins for everyone else.
PRO+ is the main account for a business with staff. It has everything in PRO, plus the tools to run a team: you add your engineers, see their work and keep every job, certificate and invoice in one place.
Sub users are bolt-on logins for each team member. Each one gets their own login on their own phone or tablet, and everything syncs back to the main account in real time. Add or remove them whenever you like, so you only pay for the people you have that month.

For comparison, a team of 10 on Tradify Pro is £370 a month, and on Powered Now Premium it’s £400. On Checker it’s £124.90, with the same features for every engineer.
What that means for each one
Tradify
Tradify is a solid all-rounder and it’s built for lots of trades, not just ours. To get certificates, reminders and quote chasing you need the Pro plan at £37 per user a month. Checker PRO does that job for £19.99, and a five-person team on Checker costs £69.95 a month against £185. That’s about £1,500 a year back in your pocket.
Powered Now
Powered Now is a good UK app. The catch is that automatic quote and invoice chasing only comes with Premium, at £40 per user. Their cheaper Business plan doesn’t do certificates at all. Checker gives you certificates, reminders and chasing on PRO for half the price.
Gas Engineer Software
GES is built for gas engineers and it’s well thought out, but it doesn’t have the official Kane link, email marketing or the same level of automation. Xero, QuickBooks and Sage only come with their Pro plan at £32 per user, though. A team of five pays £1,800 a year on GES and £699.95 on Checker, for the same day-to-day job.
Commusoft
Commusoft is aimed at bigger commercial outfits with contracts, fleets and a full office. If that’s you, it’s worth a look. For a sole trader or a small team, you’re paying from £59 a licence on a 12-month contract for a lot you’ll never touch. Checker has no contract, so if it’s not for you, you just stop.
Why Checker is the most advanced app here
The only official Kane partner
Checker is the only job management app that Kane has approved to integrate with its flue gas analysers. Readings go straight from the analyser into your certificate, so there’s no copying numbers across by hand and no typos on a gas safety record. None of the other apps on this page has that, because it’s exclusive to Checker.
It does the chasing for you
Service reminders, quote follow-ups and invoice chasers run in the background on PRO. You don’t have to pay for a top tier or an add-on to get the automation that actually brings money in.
Built from scratch, recently
Checker was rebuilt from the ground up over the last two and a half years. Certificates take around two minutes, every device syncs in real time online or offline, and boiler manuals and email marketing sit in the same app.
The short version
Same features or more, for a lot less money. Every app here can make a certificate and send an invoice. Checker is the most advanced app on this list, and the official Kane integration is something nobody else can offer. On top of that, the useful stuff, like reminders that bring repeat work back, chasers that get you paid, and accounts sync, all comes on one plan at £19.99. You don’t need the top tier to get it, and when you add staff, each one costs £10.99 rather than another full licence.
