Kane Analyser Integration

Your Kane analyser, straight into your gas certs.

Pair once. Every reading — CO, CO₂, ratio, flue temp, efficiency — flows over Bluetooth and drops straight onto the CP12. No jotting figures on your wrist, no typos, no repeat visits because the numbers didn’t add up.

Official Kane partner

One of the only softwares officially approved to pair with Kane.

Kane hold their data integrity to an extremely high standard — and only trust a handful of software partners to talk to their analysers. Checker is one of them. Years of close working with the Kane engineering team means the Bluetooth link is stable, the readings are accurate, and the numbers on your CP12 are the numbers off the flue.

You’ve done the tightness test, you’ve run the analyser, and now you’re trying to read a tiny OLED screen upside-down under a boiler while balancing your phone on your knee. One number off and the CP12 fails audit. Every gas engineer in the country has been there.

Checker pairs directly with your Kane flue gas analyser over Bluetooth. Take the readings on the appliance, the app captures them live, and they drop straight onto your CP12 or commissioning cert — already filled in, already correct. Sign it off, email it to the customer, on to the next job.

How the pairing works

Three taps. You’re paired for life.

1

Turn on Bluetooth on the Kane

Hold the Bluetooth button on the analyser until the icon flashes. Standard Kane pairing — no special dongles, no faff.

2

Tap “Pair analyser” in Checker

Open the job, hit “Pair analyser” and pick your Kane from the list. Checker remembers it for every future job.

3

Run your test

Take the readings on the appliance as normal. Every value streams into the app live and drops onto the certificate automatically.

What auto-fills into your certificate

Every reading. Every appliance. Every time.

Whatever the Kane reads, Checker records — against the correct appliance, on the correct certificate, with the timestamp and analyser serial number captured for audit.

CO (ppm) CO₂ (%) CO/CO₂ ratio Flue temperature Ambient temperature O₂ (%) Combustion efficiency Excess air Analyser serial & timestamp

Why engineers pair it

Cleaner certs. Zero typos. Faster jobs.

Manual entry is where CP12s go wrong. A transposed digit on the CO reading is the difference between a passed audit and a warning letter. Bluetooth removes the human bit.

Live streaming

Readings appear on the phone in real time. Watch the ratio settle, capture the moment, move on.

Straight onto the CP12

Values populate the correct field on the Landlord Gas Safety Record, commissioning cert or service form — no re-typing.

Multi-appliance jobs

Testing two boilers and a fire? Each set of readings pins to the right appliance record automatically.

Audit-ready

Analyser serial number, model and timestamp captured on every record — exactly what Gas Safe want to see.

One-tap re-pair

Checker remembers your Kane. Every job after the first is a single tap to reconnect.

Works offline

Bluetooth doesn’t need signal. Cellars, plant rooms, rural jobs — readings still stream, cert still fills in.

Supported analysers

Kane 455 and up — if it’s serviced and in warranty, it pairs.

Checker supports every Kane analyser from the 455 upwards. That covers the whole modern Bluetooth range used on UK vans day in, day out:

  • Kane 455 / 455s — supported from the 455s upwards. Older 455 units with early Bluetooth chips may not connect.
  • Kane 457 — full combustion analysis, paired the same way.
  • Kane 458s — the standard flue gas analyser on most UK vans.
  • Kane 358, KANE-CPA and other Bluetooth-equipped Kane analysers from the 455 range up.

Pairing eligibility — important

For a reliable Bluetooth pair the analyser must be:

Recently serviced & calibrated — within the current Kane calibration window.

In warranty — only in-warranty machines are guaranteed to pair correctly.

If your analyser won’t pair, contact Kane support with the analyser’s serial number and the latest calibration certificate and they’ll confirm whether it’s eligible.

Analyser sold separately — the Bluetooth integration is included in every Checker plan at no extra cost.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which Kane models does Checker support?

Every Kane analyser from the 455 upwards — 455s, 457, 458s, 358 and the KANE-CPA range. Older 455 units with first-generation Bluetooth chips may not connect, but anything 455s and above is covered provided it’s in warranty and recently serviced.

My Kane won’t pair — what should I do?

Nine times out of ten it’s an out-of-warranty or overdue-calibration machine. Contact Kane support with the analyser’s serial number and your latest calibration certificate and they’ll confirm whether the unit is eligible to pair. In-warranty, in-calibration machines from the 455s up pair correctly.

Is the integration an extra cost?

No. Bluetooth pairing and reading capture are included in every Checker plan. You just need to bring your own Kane analyser.

Which readings drop onto the certificate?

CO in ppm, CO₂ %, CO/CO₂ ratio, flue temperature, ambient temperature, O₂ %, combustion efficiency and excess air — plus the analyser’s serial number and the timestamp of the reading for audit.

Do I have to re-pair for every job?

No. Once your Kane is paired, Checker remembers it. On every job after that it’s a single tap to reconnect.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Bluetooth is a direct radio link between the analyser and the phone — no signal needed. Readings still stream and the cert still fills in. Once you’re back on signal, everything syncs to the cloud.

What if I’m servicing two boilers on one job?

Pick the appliance in Checker before you take the readings. Each set of numbers pins to the right boiler on the customer record and the correct section of the certificate.
