Annual Service Reminders
Checker remembers every annual for you — boiler services, gas safety records, oil services, the lot. A month before it’s due, we nudge the customer by email, text or a printed letter. You just answer the phone. It’s the easiest money you’ll bill this year.

Every job you close is a job that’s due again in twelve months. The trouble is nobody remembers — not you, not the homeowner, and definitely not their landlord. So the boiler that you serviced last August quietly rolls into next August and gets serviced by the bloke on the flyer through the door. That’s your customer, your £200, going to someone else because a reminder didn’t go out.
Annual service reminders are the single biggest revenue lever most one-van businesses ignore. Turn them on once and Checker chases every anniversary for you — automatically, on brand, and without you lifting a finger. It’s the closest thing this trade has to free money.
How it works
Raise the cert, the invoice, or the job sheet in Checker like you always do. That’s the trigger.
Reminder goes out one month before it’s due — email, SMS, or a PDF letter you print and post.
The reminder lands in your dashboard too, so nothing slips even if the customer forgets to reply.
Four ways to nudge
Free, unlimited, sent from your business. Best for the customers who actually check email — landlords, agents, commercial.
Straight to their pocket. Highest response rate for residential customers who ignore email.
SMS credits, priced at costChecker generates a branded PDF you download, print and post yourself. The one that actually gets read by older customers who don’t do email.
Every reminder also lands on your diary so you can ring, quote or book straight from the app.
Not just boilers
Anything with a renewal date can trigger a reminder. Tick “remind me” on the job, and Checker takes it from there.
The maths
11
Months after the last job — the default trigger.
1
Month of warning before it’s due — enough time to book, not so early they forget.
~30%
Typical rebook rate on a chased annual. Do nothing and you’re nearer 10%.
Rebook figures indicative; actual results vary by trade, price point and customer mix.
